S If you s trik e or become entangled with a for- eign object, s top the engine immediately and check for damage. Hav e any damage repaired by an authorized s erv ice dealer before attempting further oper ations.
8 6. Befor e using the unit, tighten the knob s e- cur ely by turning c loc kwis e. 12 Button Air Filter C over Air Filter REPLACE SP ARK PLUG Replac e the spar k plug eac h y ear to ensure the engine st arts eas ier and runs better . Set spark plug gap at 0,6 mm. Ignition timing is fixed and nonadjus table. 1. T wis t, then pull off spar k plug boot.
13 Make adjus tments with t he unit s upported so the cutt ing attachment is off the ground and will not mak e contac t with any objec t. Hold the unit by hand w hile running and making ad- justment s. Keep all par ts of y our body aw ay from the cut ting attachment and muffler .
14 TROUBLE CAUSE REMEDY Engine will not sta rt . 1. ON /OFF swit ch in O FF position. 2. Engine flooded. 3. Fuel tank empty. 4. Spark plug not firing. 5. Fuel not reac hing carbur etor . 6. Carbur etor requires adjustment. 1. Move O N/O FF s witc h to ON posit ion.
