4 Matrox V eos – User Guide Connection setup This section des cribes how to connect your M atrox V eos product. Y our V eos product c onsists of 3 components that work together to extend your graphics data ov er 100 meters per unit: Mas ter un it (requir ed) – connects t o y our com puter .
Matrox V eos – User Guide 5 Connection overview – Master unit * Depending on your graphics har dware, you need to a ttach either the Matr ox HD15-to-HD15 cable or the Matrox DVI-to-DVI cable to the input connector on your Master unit.

Matrox V eos – User Guide 7 5 Check the indicator light If the in dicator light is o n (green or r ed), your M aster unit is properly co nnected. If the indicat or lig ht is off (black), m ake s ure your M a ster unit is pr operly connected and that all connectors ar e properly fastened.

Matrox V eos – User Guide 9 3 Connect the Power/USB cable Plug one end of the Po wer/USB cable pro vided with your Display unit into the USB conne ctor ( ) on your Dis play unit. Plug only the pow er supply connector of the P ower/US B cable int o the ext ernal po wer suppl y provid ed wi th your D isplay un it.
10 Matrox V eos – User Guide 6 Set the content channels Pr ess button 1 ( ) to set the c ontent channel for mo nitor 1 ( ), and press butto n 2 ( ) to set the co ntent c hannel for mo nitor 2 ( ). Y ou may need to pr ess the butto ns r epeatedly t o cycle through the availab le content cha nnels ( CH01 , CH02 , or CH03 ).

Matrox V eos – User Guide 15 2 Cause The segment length o f you r coaxial cable m ay be too long. 1 Solution Mak e sure the segment le ngth of y our coaxial cable is supported b y your Matr o x prod uct. F or more infor mation, see “Pr oduct inform ation ” , page 21 .
16 Matrox V eos – User Guide 2 Cause W indows ide ntifies the highest displa y mode and discar ds al l m odes with a higher vertical or horizontal resolution. In W indows 2000/XP , th e highest display mode is the one with the highest horizontal re solution.
