1 FEA TURES The software Wizz.it 3 enables y ou to perf orm the follo wing operations . • Editing of RC3001 setting data • Backup of RC3001 setting data to a PC Support OS • Windows 2000.
2 INST ALLING Wizz.it 3 1. At fi rst, you do wnload the software Wizz.it 3 from the Home Enter tainment section of your region in Marantz W ebsite http://www .marantz.com. 2. Open the downloaded fi le in your PC and f ollo w the on screen instructions to install the editor .
3 WIZZ.IT 3 OPERA TION After Wizz.it 3 is installed, the Wizz.it 3 icon is displa yed on the PC desktop . Double-clic king the icon star ts Wizz.it 3. T o make settings f or the remote controller after startup, either edit the def ault confi guration fi le or use a new confi guration fi le.
4 EDITING A NEW CONFIGURA TION FILE Use the procedure below to mak e the settings when using a new confi guration fi le. 1. Click the Ne w Confi guration icon. 2. Click the Add new de vice icon, and add the number of de vices to match the number of devices to be controlled.
5 A CTION WINDO W u w e r t y o i q q Action List This list sets the One T ouch Operation (Macro). w Add IR Code This is used when setting the IR command to be sent. (Refer to page 6, Add IR Code Windo w .) e Create Link This sets the links for the Action List.
6 ADD IR CODE WINDOW y q t w e r q Learn IR This is used to lear n the remote control codes from other remote controllers and set them in the action list. (Refer to page 7, Learning IR .) w My Database This loads and sets the IR codes registered in My Database.
7 LEARN IR 1. Use a USB cable to connect the PC making the settings to the remote controller (RC3001 / RC2001). 2. Place the remote controller so that its infrared signal transmitter is f acing the infrared signal receiv er on the remote controller at a distance of about 2 inches (0.
8 IR D A T ABASE WINDO W q r w e t q Brand Select the brand name of the de vice to be controlled. w Device Select the device type to be controlled. e Model Number Select the model number of the de vice to be controlled. If there is no applicable model number , select from the preset codes.

11 CREA TE JUMP WINDO W Make the setting b y selecting the de vice name and the page number where the jump operation will go to . After determining the jump locations, click OK. ADD BEEP WINDOW This is used to set the beep sound frequency and duration.
12 LABEL WINDO W q w e r t K ey Area This is used to set the command name display ed on the remote controller LCD . q Name This allows setting of a name of up to 9 alphanumeric characters, symbols , or icons in length. T o select, click the input characters in the k e y area.
13 LEFT SIDE SOFT BUTT ON SETTING In the default settings , the action (Action List) f or the left-side soft buttons has the same setting as the right-side soft buttons. T o set a different command list, remo v e the check mark from the Link to Right Side Button , and then set the command list.
14 RF SETUP q w e r t q IR Enabled Select this radio button when de vice control is performed by IR operation. w RF Enabled Select this radio button when de vice control is performed by RF operation using the RX3001. e Channel The RF channel can be selected here.
15 REGISTERING T O MY DA T ABASE Commands added to the Action List can be registered to My Database. Select the IR command in the Action list, and then right-click and select Register to My Database . Enter the required items, and then clic k OK.

17 HIDE DEVICE With this command, a device that w as set can be hidden at the remote controller side. Select the device that will be hidden in the tree vie w , and then right-click and select Hide De vice . The Device icon changes to red in the tree vie w .
