6 FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION Installing or removing battery cartridge • Alwa ys switch off the tool bef ore inser tion or remov al of the batter y cartr idge. • T o remove the battery car tr idge , withdraw it from the tool while pressing the buttons on both sides of the cartr idge.
7 CA UTION: • Alwa ys check the direction of rotation bef ore operation. • Use the re versing s witch only after the tool comes to a complete stop . Changing the direction of rotation before the tool stops ma y damage the tool. • When not operating the tool, alwa ys set the re versing s witch lev er to the neutral position.
8 OPERA TION The proper fastening torque ma y differ depending upon the kind or size of the scre w/bolt, the mater ial of the workpiece to be f astened, etc. The relation between fastening torque and f astening time is shown in the figures. Hold the tool firmly and place the point of the dr iv er bit in the screw head.
9 4. The manner of holding the tool or the material of dr iving position to be f astened will affect the torque. 5. Operating the tool at low speed will cause a reduction in the fa stening torque.
