3 2.0 Sy stem O verv iew 2.1 Connect Up to Thirty-two RS-232C Compat ible Ports The Cons oleServer 3200 is plug- compatible w ith any RS-232C device. Thes e may be a vari et y of netw ork servers, r outers, or any oth er LAN/ W AN computers on t he network.
4 The mod em card c onnects directl y to an ordi nary phone jack (R J11) to inter face with a telephon e network. The sy s admin may designate a mo dem initializ ation string, or may use the default modem initi alization stri ng, w hich allows auto-a nswering on o ne ring.
5 3.0 Sy stem Components Each Console Server 3200 consi sts of three maj o r c omponents : chassis, device car d s, and access cards. 3.1 Chassis The chassis con tains a front-p anel LCD for qu ick system infor mation that i s available at all times. Two front pa nel buttons allow display sel ection and pagin g through display s (see sectio n 10.
