18 EXTERNAL EQ UIPMENT SETUP When connecting HDMI cable Connect the HDMI output of the D VD to the H H D D M M I I I I N N jack on the set. 1 G HDMI supports video and audio. Y ou do not need t o connect a spera t e audio cable. G If the D VD pla yer does not support Auto HDMI, you need to set the D VD output resolution appropriat ely .
19 EXTERNAL EQ UIPMENT SETUP VCR SETUP ■ T o av oid picture noise (interfer ence), leav e an adequat e distance bet ween the VCR and the set. ■ If a user uses 4:3 picture format for a long time, an afterimage ma y remain on the sides of the screen for a short time.
20 EXTERNAL EQ UIPMENT SETUP When connecting with a R CA cable Connect the audio/video out sock et s of the VCR to A UDIO/VIDEO in socket s of the set. Pr ess the INPUT but t on to select A V . Pr ess the PLA Y but ton on the VCR. The VCR pla yback picture appears on the screen.
21 EXTERNAL EQ UIPMENT SETUP PC SETUP This pr oduct pr o vides Plug and Pla y capabilit y , meaning that the PC adjusts aut omaticall y t o the set's set tings. When connecting with a D-sub 1 5 pin cable 4 Connect the signal cable fr om the monit or output socke t of the PERSONAL COMPUTER to the PC input socke t of the set.

Mono sound is aut omatically used if the br oadcast is only in Mono.
58 TIME SETTING The time is set automa tically from a digital channel signal. The digit al channel signal includes information for the curr ent time pro vided by the broadca sting st ation. Set the clock manually if the current time is set incorrectl y by the aut o clock function.

60 The Off time function aut omatically switches the set to standb y at a prese t time. T wo hours after the set is switched on by the on time function it will aut omaticall y switch back to standb y mode unless a but t on has been pre ssed. The Off time function o verride s the On timer function if both are set to the same time.
61 TIME SETTING The sleep timer aut omatically switches the set off after the pre set time has elapsed. SLEEP TIMER SETTING • When you switch the set off, the pre set sleep time is cancelled. • Y ou can also adjust Sleep T imer in the Q.Menu. Select TIME.
