Page 4 1.3 Microphone (XMT) Selection (All models) There are six pushbuttons associated w ith the c ommunications transceiver s. The lower buttons control which transceiver is selected for transmit. The SL15-CD gives p riority to the pilot’ s P TT .
Page 5 1.4 Audio Selec tor (All models) Receiver audio is selected through seven momentary , push-button, backlit switches. Y ou will always hear the audio fro m the transceiver that is s elected for transmit. The users can id entify which receivers are selected by no ting which of the gr een switch LEDs are illuminated.
Page 6 1.5 Split Mode The split mode can be activated at any time b y pressing the de s ired combination of XMT buttons. For i nstance, to activate a Co m 1/Com 2 split, press and hold the com 1 button, an d then press the Com 2 button wh i le holdin g the Com 1 but- ton.
Page 7 1.6.2 Intercom V olume Control The interc om volume c ontrol is th e smaller con centric knob on the left side of the unit. This volume co ntrol knob adjusts the loudness of the intercom for the pilot an d copilo t only . It ha s no effect o n select ed radi o leve ls, musi c input l evels or passen- gers' vo lume l evel.
Page 8 1.6.4 Entert ainment Input The audio s elector pane l has provi sions fo r two separ ate entertainment inpu t devices. The CD-15 remote CD player is usually installed as Musi c 1, and feeds the pilot and copilo t positions. They operate in dependently in the SL1 5-CD.
Page 9 It is also possible to use just the CD-15 as entertainment input d evice for both entertainment inputs. Howev er , we suggest that a s witch (DPDT) be installed between CD-15 entertainment input #1. This will allow th e pilot to direct the music as desired .
Page 10 1.8 Compact Di sc Oper ation The two push butt ons at the far right of the SL15-C D Option CD control t he com- pact disk operation. Ins erting the disc into the CD-15 r emote player unit will auto- matically begin play . The lower button (play/pause/advan ce) is used to play th e disc from stop, paus e play , and advance the track.
