6 Connections • Connect DVD player to TV set with scart socket Use the SCART cable to connect DVD player and your TV. Set the [Video Out] to [Composite] or [ RGB]. • CONNECT DVD PLAYER TO TV SET WITH HDMI C ABLE Use the HDMI cable to connect DVD player and your TV.
7 System operation MENU OPERA TION Press the SETUP button on the remote control, the SETUP MENU w ill be displayed. Use the up/ down buttons for up a nd down movement thr ough the menu. Press RIGH T direction butto n to enter the submen u and press left direction butto n to go back to the pre vious menu.
8 Asp ec t R ati o Use this option to select the aspect ratio. Notes: The image display ratio is related to the recorded disc form at. Some disc can not display images in the aspect ratio you choose. If you play a disc recorded in 4:3 format on a wide screen-TV, black bars will appear on the left and right side of the screen.
9 System Setup Dow n sampling Select down sampling function on or off. (Down sampling is the process of reducing the sampling rate of a signal) Press ON: down sampling rate will change into a higher level sampling rate audio (m ore than 96K). OFF: Disable this function.
10 MP3/WMA/JPEG/MPEG4 Playback The MP3/WMA/MPEG4 disc has the directory structure as shown in the picture above . Press Direction ke y to choose the root directory ( the first director y in a hierarchy) and then press the OK button to enter the sub directory.
11 Picture CD playback The PICTURE CD disc has a directory structure as shown in the following picture. Press Direction key to choose the root directory ( the first direc tory in a hierarch y) and then press the OK bu tton to enter the sub directory.
