3 3. Open a web browser t o the IP address of the P ayLink-IP and configure the device as described in the "C onfiguration" section of this manual. 4. After configuring the LA V A P ayLink-IP/232, attach it to your network and connect a payment terminal to its serial port.

5 Click "Configure" if no passwor d has been set, or enter the password for the P ayLink you are configuring , and then click "Configure .
6 If not using a DHCP ser ver t o assign network addresses , choose the "Manually configure" option for Netw ork Settings. In the configuration screen that appears , enter the network settings you wish for that P ayLink-IP . Once the new v alues are entered and accepted , the Pa yLink-IP will reboot to implement the new netw ork settings.

Each host can also be configur ed for the P ayLink to use a fallback addr ess By default, these fields are empty .

T erminal Side Data and P rotocol C onfiguration The P ayLink-IP/232 permits each host connection to be configured with specific data format and protoc ol configurations, using the screens shown below . T hese parameters are described in detail in the PDF manual supplied with the Pa yLink software.
13 By default, the LA V A Pa yLink-IP/232's connection to the payment processor is set up using an SSL V er . 3.0 link. Disabling this setting will send data over an unsecured TCP/IP link.
