3 Chapter 2 Installation Enclosure Installation Install the UPS in a protected area that is free of excessive dust and has a dequate airflow. Do not operate the power supply where th e temperature an d humidit y are outside the specified limits. Refer to Specification s in this manual.
4 Battery Installation Battery Replacement This UPS has an easy t o replace, hot-swappable ba ttery. Re placement is a safe procedure, isolated from electrical hazards. You may leave the UPS and c onnected equipment on for t his procedure. Replace the spent battery with replacem ent battery RBC4 0.
5 Chapter 3 Operation Connect Equipment and Power The UPS battery charges when it is connected to u tility power. The battery charges fully during the fi rst eight h ours of norm al operation . Do not expect full battery run capability during this initial charge period.
6 Status Indicators UPS Front View Green indicates the UPS is on utility power. Yellow indicates the UPS is on battery power. Green indicates DC output power is provided by the battery or utility power. Red indicates that the battery is not conn ected or the battery needs to be re placed.
