SMTP is an embedded protocol to supp ort this function . To use the e-mail f unction, the scan ner system should be connected to an e-mail server using the POP3 pr otocol.

The SMB parameters can be set through th e COMMAND CENTER. The following informa tion about each server needs to be registe red on this machine.
Setup 12 NETWORK SCANNER SETUP GUIDE Enabling FTP Function The FTP transmission function converts th e data of orig inals scanned on this machine to the PDF, TI FF, or JPEG format and uploads it di rectly to an F TP server. The FTP parameters can be set thr ough the COMMAND CENTER.
Setup NETWORK SCANNER SETUP GUIDE 13 Registering the Address Book This machine has an addre ss book function. Whe n an e-mail addr ess, the path to a PC folder (SMB), FTP server's path, a nd FAX number are registered in the address book, it can transmit direct ly from the oper ation panel.

The recipient’s add ress ca n be entered from an internal address bo ok, external address book (LDAP) or using a one -touch key.

When the (SMB or FTP) is selected, the login user name input screen is displayed. When the ( E-mail) or (FAX) is selected, the display shows Completed and returns to the basic screen.
