- 4 - Safety ins tructions • If you do not intend to use the appliance for an extended period, r emove the batteries – batteries can discharge themselves and then leak. • Should the batteries leak: Clean the batter y compar tment with a dr y clot h whilst wearing protectiv e gloves.
- 5 - Inser ting t he batteries • T urn the batter y compar tment closure to the position “OPEN” and open the batter y compar tment . • Inser t the batteries, 3 x 1.5V T ype AAA/Micro, into the batter y compar t- ment . Ensure the polarities are correct, as sho wn in t he illustration.
Reception mode a) Switching the appliance on/of f, sound volume • T o switch the appliance on, turn t he volume r egulator from the position “OFF” to the right.
Disposal Disposing of the appliance Do not, under any cir cumstances, dispose of t he appliance with house- hold waste. Dispose of the appliance through an appr oved disposal centre or at y our community waste facility . This appliance is subject to the European Guidelines 2002/96/EC.
