4 Electr ical r equir ements The range can be connected directly to the fused disconnect (or circuit breaker box) through flexible armored conduit. This range can be direct wired to a four - wire or three-wire aluminum wiring system. See “Direct wire method: Copper or Aluminum wire” section.
5 No w star t... 1. R emo ve shipping materials, tape and protective film from range. Keep cardboard bottom and shipping base under range. Remo ve oven rac ks and parts pac kage from inside oven. 2. Ta ke four cardboard corners from the carton. Stac k one cardboard corner on top of another .
6 P ow er supply cord method: 1. Disconnect power . 2. Remo ve the knoc kout for the 40 amp power supply cord. 3. Assemble a U.L.-listed strain relief in the opening. 4. Insert the power supply cord through the strain relief, allowing enough slac k to easily at tac h the wiring to the terminal bloc k.
7 Dir ect wir e method: Copper or Aluminum wir e Use this method only if local codes permit connecting ground conductor to neutral supply wire. 10 .L oosen (do not remove) the 3 slot ted set screws. Insert the neutral (white) wire into the hole at the bottom of the center position lug (attac hed to center terminal screw of terminal bloc k).
8 9. Move range close to cabinet opening. 10 . R emove cardboard or hardboard from under range. Carefully move range into final position. 11. P ull drawer open to first stop position. Lift front of drawer to clear white wheels in drawer guides. Remo ve drawer and set it aside on a protected surface.
9 Chec k oper ation 17 . Chec k the operation of the cooktop elements: P ush in and turn eac h surface unit control knob to “HI” position. Chec k the operation of the cooktop elements and indicator lights. 18 . Chec k the operation of the o ven: P ress the “CL OCK SET” button.
10 If r ang e does not oper at e: Chec k that the circuit breaker is not tripped or the house fuse blown. Chec k that the power supply cord is plugged into the outlet.
