7 Door Re mova l 1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect pow er . 2. Open both refrigerator doors. Remov e the base grill e by pulling u p on the bottom outs ide cor ners (see Graphic 1 ). 3. Close both doors and keep them close d until you are ready to lift them free from the cabin et.
8 4. Align and replace t he top le ft hinge as shown (see Gra phic 3). Tighten scr ews. Style 1 ■ Reconne ct both gr ound wire s. ■ Reco nnect wir ing pl ug. Style 2 ■ Reco nnect wir ing pl ug. 5. Replace le ft hinge cov er and sc rews. 6. Replace the refrigerator d oor by carefully lifting th e door onto the bottom right hinge.
9 Connecting to Refrigerator Style 1 1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect pow er . 2. Attach the cop per tub e to t he val ve inlet usin g a compression nut and sleev e as shown. Tighten th e compression nut. Do not ov ertigh ten. 3. Use the tube c lamp on the back of the refrig erator to secure the tubing to t he refrigerator as shown.

12 REFRIGERATOR USE Ensuring Proper Ai r Circulation In order to ensure proper temperatures, you need to permit air to flow betwee n the two sectio ns. Cold air ente rs the bott om of the freezer section and moves up. It then ente rs the refrigerat or sect ion thr ough the t op ve nt.
13 Digital Contro ls (on some models) For your convenien ce, your con trols are preset at the factory . When instal ling your refrigerat or , make sure that the cont rols are still preset to the “ mid-se ttings ” as shown. The d igital contr ol panel is loca ted at the top of the refrigerator compartmen t.
14 Over T emperature Reset (on some m odels) The Over T emperature feature is des igned to le t you know when either the refrig erator temperatu re rises above 48 ° F (9 ° C) or the freezer temperature rises abov e 15 ° F (-9 ° C) for lo nger than 1 ¹⁄₂ hours.
15 The Dispense r Light The disp ense r ar ea has a lig ht. It ca n be turned on m anua lly by pressing the ON but ton (touchp ad or rocker switch ). On some mod els: When ever yo u use the di spens er , the leve r will automati cally tu rn the light on .
16 4. Slide the c artridge cap on to the new cart ridge. See illust ration in Step 2. 5. With cart ridge cap in the ve rtical posi tion, pu sh the ne w filter cartri dge in to the base gr ille un til it stops . Rota te the c artri dge cap clockwise to a horizon tal position.
17 T o remove an d replace the ice storag e bin: 1. Hold th e base of t he stor age bi n with both h ands and p ress the release button to li ft the st orage bin up and out. NOTE : It is not n ecessa ry to tur n t he ice maker control to th e OFF (right) position when r emoving the storage bin.
18 Flip-up Shel f (on some models) T o raise or lower the shelf: 1. Raise the sh elf by pull ing forward on the lever loca ted at th e bottom front of the shelf an d lift unti l the she lf locks into th e vertical po sition . 2. Lowe r the shelf until it is latched secur ely in plac e.
19 Adjusting the Control The convertib le control comes preset at the lowest meat set ting. T o change a contr ol setting: Move the co ntr ol to the right (colder) or to t he left (less cold) as desired.
20 Freezer Basket or Bin (plastic bi n on some models) The freezer basket or b in can be used to stor e bags of frozen fruits and ve getables that may slid e off fr eezer shel ves. T o remove an d replace the freezer basket or bin: 1. Remo ve bask et or bin by slid ing it out to the st op.
21 4. Determin e whether you r refrigerator exterior is painted metal, brushed a luminum or s tainless s teel and ch oose the appropriate cleani ng method. Pai nted metal : W ash exteriors with a clean sponge or soft cloth and a mild dete r gent i n warm wate r .

24 ■ Is an ice cube jammed in the ice maker ejector arm? For models with a standard ice st orage bin, remove the ic e from the ejector arm with a plastic utensil . For models with an ice storage bi n on the freezer door , access the ice maker b y depr essing the ice sensor door on the up per left side of the freezer interior .
25 The water dispenser will not operate properly ■ Has the water system not filled? The water s ystem needs to be fill ed the first t ime it is used. Use a sturdy container t o depr ess the water di spenser bar unti l the water begins t o flow . Flu sh the wat er system by dispensin g and disc arding 2 to 3 ga l.
