EN 5 Preparing the remote c ontrol unit Operation When the power cor d is plugged in, standby indicator is lit. The power turns ON by pressing button on the remote contr ol unit pointing at the remote sensor . When the po wer comes on, press the button you want to operate .
6 EN About MP3 and WMA The playable MP3/WMA le (hereafter called Audio le ) and the media format has the following limitation. The Audio le, which is not conforming to the speci cation, may not play normally , or the le and folder names may not display c orrectly .
EN 7 About USB device Notes on use of the USB device This unit can play audio les stored in the ash memory and digital audio player that have a USB port (these devices are ref erred to as USB devices in this document).

10 EN Demonstration mode The system is equipped with a demonstration function (only display). When the po wer cable is plugged in and button is pressed to turn the system on for the rst time, the demonstration automatically starts.
EN 11 Using the CD/MP3- CD/WMA-CD/USB device Prepar ation Loading a disc 1 Press CD/USB ( CD/USB) button to select CD mode. 2 Press the area mark ed [push open] on the top cover t o open the CD door . 3 Place a disc into the tra y with the label facing up.
12 EN Selecting a desired album/ le (For audio le only) T o select a desired album Press P .CALL/ALBUM 5 or ∞ (p.call/album + or –) button until the desired album number appears on the display . “ Axxx xxx ” appears on the display . “ Axxx ” indicates album number and “xxx” indicates the le number.
EN 13 Progr amming les (For audio le only) Programming les of an MP3-CD/WMA-CD/USB device is possible when playback is stopped. Up t o 60 les can be stored in the memory in any order . 1 In stop mode, press P .MODE (p.mode) button t o enter program setting .
14 EN Using the CD/MP3-CD/WMA-CD/USB device Intro scan This function let you listen to the rst 10 seconds of each track/ le throughout the disc/USB device. Press INTRO button t o start scanning. The icon “INTRO” appears on the display . T o stop the intro scan Press INTRO button again.
EN 15 T uning to a preset radio sta tion Press P .CALL/ALBUM 5 or ∞ (p.call/album + or –), or digit buttons, 0–9 on the remot e control unit to select the desired preset number . The preset number and radio frequency appear on the display . STEREO/MONO Press the STEREO/MONO button t o select mono or stereo mode.

EN 19 Clock/timer operation T imer setting The system can switch on to CD , USB, TUNER or T APE mode automatically at a preset time, serving as an alarm to wake you up . The timer recording of radio pr ograms onto a cassette tape is also possible. Impor tant! Before setting the timer , ensure that the clock is set correctly .
20 EN 10 Press TIMER SET (timer set) button. The icon “ TIMER” ashes and the volume display appears. 11 Press P .MODE (p.mode) button. 12 Press SEARCH/TUNING 4 or ¢ ( 4 or ¢ search +/– ) button to set volume lev el and press P .MODE (p .mode) button to store the setting .

Do not use a solution containing alcohol, spirits, ammonia or abrasive. Cleaning discs • When a disc becomes dirt y , clean it with a cleaning cloth, wipe the disc from the center out.
