INST ALLA TION L OCA TION OF THE POR T ABLE AIR C ONDITIONER WINDO W KIT INST ALLA TION The W indow Kit (included) contains three sliding pieces , and can be adjuste d to t most standard v ertical and horizontal windows (see Figs. 1 & 1a). For very wide windo ws, use all three pieces.

REMO TE CONTR OL USING THE REMOTE • The r emote control must be within 16 feet (5 meters) of the receiv er on the main unit . Reception is conrmed by a beep from the main unit . • The r emote control will not oper ate if curtains, doors or other material block the signal from the r emote control to the r eceiver .
OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS AIR CONDITIONING MODE – OUT -OF-R OOM OPERA TION The unit is outside the r oom to be cooled, such as an adjacent room or hallway , or outdoors beneath a porch or windo w awning or the ov erhanging e aves of a roof .
OPERA TING INSTRUCTIONS DEHUMIDIFY MODE Humidity is extract e d fr om the air , collected in the wate r tank and dischar ged thr ough the upper dr ain outlet . • Use the MODE button to set the unit function to DEHUMIDIFY . • R emov e the exhaust hose from the unit .
ST ORAGE • Follow cleaning instructions A-D . • R emov e the exhaust hose and window kit and r epack the unit in its original shipping box. S tore unit upright in a dry place where the temper ature will remain abo ve 35°F . • IMPOR T ANT : Always stor e and transport the unit so as to maintain the compressor in a upright orientation.
