3 Use a soft cloth to cle an. Do not use wax, thinners or a strong d etergent. The appearanc e of the air condi tioner may deteriora t e, change colo r or develop surface flaws. Do not use water to clean inside the air conditioner. Exposure t o water can destroy the insulation, le ading to possible electri c shock.
4 1. Place the unit in the correct upright position before unpacking. 2. Cut the two packing stra ps. 3. Slide the carton in an upwards motion and it will release from the base.
5 Prior to installing the unit, check for the following: 1. To avoid dama ge, place the unit in an upright po sition for at least 12 hours b efore initial set- up. 2. Release the exhaust ho se holder in the unit and take out the exhaust hose. 3. Fasten the exhaust hose before turning the unit on.

8 6. SPEED Pressing this button sets the ventilation speed to “ (low)”, “ (medium)”, “ (high)” or “AUTO (Automatic) ”. If “AUTO” is selec ted, the ventilato r operates at te mperature diffe rences larger tha n 9 degrees at top speed.
9 INSERTING OR R EPLACING THE BATTERIES - This remote control uses two AAA batteries. Remove the back cover of the remote control. Insert two “AA A” 1.5V ba tteries, making sur e they are in the correct position (see instructions inside the battery compartment) Replace the cover.
10 Note: After switching the unit on, the ventilator operates, but the compressor only starts after the control lamp has flashed for 3 minutes. Cooling effect may require a further 5 minutes. This is done as a protection mechanism to prolong compressor life.
11 If the unit is to b e placed o utside of the room to be cooled, you should try to position the unit o n a flat solid sur face and in an ar ea protected from rain and sun ex posure such as sunroo m, veranda or hallway. You should not operate the unit in mois t areas, such as e.
12 The cold extract air has to be ve nted out of the room via the air hose. This can be executed via a t ilted window, a door or wall apert ure. Make sure t hat no cold ou tside air can e nter the room. Set the function to “HEATING“. The settable temperature range is between 15°C and 25°C.
