CAUT IONS: Attachment to a wall • The Center U nit weighs approxi mately 4.3 kg. When its buttons are operate d, an additional forc e will be applied to i t in the down ward direction .

Attach the bra cket (suppli ed) to the wall usi ng two screws (not supp lied) and plac e the Speaker onto th e bracket. Then, use the wing bolt (supplied) to fi x the Spea ker firmly to the bracket.
11 Gett ing S tarted English Changing the Disp lay and Co ntrol Buttons Set tings You can ch ange the direct ion of the charac ters and symbols o n the display and the assignm ent of the func tions to each con trol button on the Unit. Change the settings de pending on wheth er the Unit is plac ed vertically or h orizontally.
12 Getting St arted English Using th e Remote Co ntrol The Remote Co ntrol makes it easy t o use many of the functi ons of the System from a dist ance of up to 7 m away. 15 English Using the Powered Subwoofer Operat ing the Power ed Subwoofer Presetting the Volume You need to preset the vol ume level of thi s speaker (SP- PW2000) to match those of th e main speakers (SP- VSDT20 00).
16 Using the Powered Su bwoofer English INPUT Terminals The Subwoofer ha s the follo wing INPUT terminals. INPUT(LO W -LEVEL): Usually, the LEFT/MONO terminal is connected to the SUBWOOFER terminal of the Center Unit with the supplied signal cord. (See page 7.
17 English Using the Tuner You can liste n to FM and AM stat ions. Station s can be tuned in man ually, automatically , or from preset memory storage. ■ Before listening to the radio: • Make sure that both the F M and AM antennas are cor- rectly co nnected.
18 Using t he Tuner English ● Auto Tuning If you p ress an d hold th e 4 or ¢ ( or ) but- ton for one second or more, the frequency cha nges down, or up, autom atically until a station is found.
19 English Using the CD Player You can use Normal, Random, Program or Repeat Play. Re- peat Play can repeat all the tracks or j ust one of the tracks on the CD. Here are the basic thi ngs you need to know to pl ay a CD and locate the different track s on it.
20 Using the CD Play er English CAUT ION: • DO NOT try to open or close the Panel by hands as it wi ll be damaged. Press th e OPEN/CLOSE butt on on the Remote Con- trol to open or close the Pane l. • DO NOT try to insert another CD when a CD has b een alr eady loaded on the U nit.
21 Using the CD Play er English Programming t he Playing Order of the Tracks (Using the Remo te Control) You can pr ogram the playing ord er of the tr acks. ■ You can p rogram up to 32 tracks in any desired ord er in- cluding the same tracks. ■ You can only make a program whe n the CD Player is stoppe d.
