Remove any lag screws or hol ding straps whi ch secure the band saw to the wood pa llet .
10 Grounding Instructions Elect rical co nnection s must be mad e by a qu alified el ectrician i n comp liance wit h all relevan t codes. Th is machi ne must be p r o perly ground ed to help preven t electri cal sho ck and po ssible fat al injur y. Thi s m achine m ust be grounded.
11 If the Band Sa w i s to be har d-wired t o a panel , m ake sure a disconn ect i s av ailabl e f or the operator . Duri ng hard-wiri ng o f the Band Saw, m ake sure t he f uses hav e been re m oved or the breaker s h a v e been tr ipped i n the ci rcu i t to which t he Band Saw w ill b e c onnec ted.
12 5. Rem o v e the worn blade an d instal l t he new blade, m aki ng sure t he t eeth f ace down ward where they pa ss through the sl ot in t he tabl e. 6. Use the t ension hand w h eel t o t i ghten t he tensi on on t he blade. 7. Proc eed w i th “Bl ade Tension” and “Blade Tr ac ki ng” bef ore operating t he band saw .

19 If t he bl ade is t hicker at t he wel d than at t h e rest of t he bl a d e, using t he bl ad e may d amage the guides. 20. W hen grindi ng, do not hi t t he teeth, or grind deeper than the t hick ness of the bl ade; or burn or ov erheat the wel d area.
20 Gage Use the st andard gage (bl ade thi ckness ) except when the i ncrea s ed thi ckness of the work piece decrease s acc uracy and w i dth cannot be inc reased to compensate. Ex a m ples o f heavy gage appli cations: 1. W hen r adius cut ting i n thick m ateri a l s .
