2 MCDA1 Pr eparation Getting S tarted It’s a good idea to read all of the instructions before beginning the installation. We recommend having your JENSEN radio/CD changer inst alled by a reputable installation shop. T ools and Supplies The following tools and supplies are needed to install the unit.
3 MCDA1 Prepar ation (continued) Trans port Lock Screws The mechanism in the unit is "locked" into plac e during shipment by transport screws. Be sure to remove the screws prior to installation. Reta in these screws for future use when transporting the unit for service/maintenance.

5 MCDA1 Installation (continued) Setting the An ti-vibration B oard The unit can be installed horizontally , vertically or at a 45° angle. The position of the bu ilt-in anti- vibration springs (left and right side) must co rrespond to the mounting position chosen.
6 MCDA1 Installation (continued) Horizontal Installation 1. Make sure the anti-vibration springs are set to position "0". 2. Attach a bracket (A) to each side of the unit using the machine screws (M4x5). 3. Attach the brackets (A) to the mounting base (B) using the hex agonal bolts (M6x12) and M6 flat and split washers.
7 MCDA1 Installation (continued) Flat Surface a. S tick the supplied double- sided tape to t he bottom of the mounting bases (B) and peel off the paper backing. b. Drill holes for the self- tapping screws (T5x12). c. Install self-tapping screws to secure the mounting base to the surface.

Attach a bracket (A) bracket to each side of the unit using the machine screws (M4x5). 3. Attach the brackets (A) to the mounti ng base (B) using the hexagonal bolts (M6x12) and M6 flat and split washers.

Attach a bracket (A) to each side of t he unit using the machine scre ws (M4x5). 3. Attach the brackets (A) to the mounting base (B) using the hexagonal bolts (M6x12) and M6 flat and split washers.

12 MCDA1 Installation (continued) Suspended Installation 1. Make sure the anti-vibration springs are set to position "0". 2. Attach a bracket (A) to each side of t he unit using the machine screws (M4x5). 3. Determine the mounting location for the unit.

14 MCDA1 Resetting the Unit After completing al l connections, press RESET on the commander unit. T he only other time the unit should be reset is when the power source is interrupted (as when r eplacing the battery).
