5 Install Battery Install/Replace Speaker Batteries 1. Open speaker battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the iH26. 2. Insert 4 "AA" batteries, checking that the polarity ( + and - ends of the batteries) matches the drawing inside the battery compartment.

7 T o place an insert: 1. Select the insert for your iPod ® (see chart above). Using the correct insert ensur es the proper fit for your iPod ® . 2. Gently press the iPod ® insert into the dock. 3. Car efully place your iPod ® into the dock. (The iPod ® must not be in a case or “skin”).
8 Using The Remote Contr ol Unit Install/Replace the Remote Control Battery The remote contr ol battery is alr eady installed at the factory . When the remote contr ol stops operating or its range seems reduced, r eplace the battery with a new one. 1.
9 Setting Up the iH26 Setting Clock Time 1. Press and hold the Time Set Button for 2 seconds until the display flashes. Pr ess the Hour Set Button until the current hour is displayed. Next, pr ess the Sleep/Minute Set Button to set the current minute.
Char ging your iPod ® Note: Please make sure you ar e using the correct insert for your iPod ® and that it is pr operly docked into the iH26. Failure to do so may damage your iPod ® . 1. While your iPod ® is docked in the unit and the unit is connected to an outlet (not running on batteries), it recharges (until fully charged).
11 Char ging your iPod ® Shuf fle Y our iPod shuffle r echarges (until fully charged) while the shuffle is docked in the system and the iH26 is connected to an oultet with the included AC power adaptor . Y our shuffle will NOT char ge when the unit is running on battery power .
12 Listening to a non-docking iPod ® or other portable audio devices If you are using an iPod ® without a docking port or other MP3 player or other portable audio device, you can still play it through the iH26 via the Line-in Jack. NOTE: T o use the Line in Jack, make sure no iPod ® is docked in the iH26.
13 Alarm Operation The iH26 Home System features “Sur e Alarm”. If a power failure occurs or the AC cor d is accidentally disconnected, the unit will change to Buzzer alarm to wake you up (provided you have installed back up batteries). This unit also features Gentle W aking, which gradually increases the volume of whatever alarm you set.
14 Sleep Operation 1. When the iH26 is off or while listening to your iPod ® , press the Sleep Button to enter sleep mode. The unit will automatically turn off after the selected time. Sleep mode has a Gentle Sleep feature which gradually lowers the volume.
