2 Setup Har dware Requirements This monitor requires a computer with a suitable on-board sub-system or Video Adapter card that can suppor t XGA 1024 × 768, SV GA 800 x 600, or V GA 640 x 480 at 60 Hz. W orkplace Preparation This section gives advice on what you should consider before you set up your monitor.

6 Conf iguring your Monitor A utomatic Setup The Setup Utility included on the setup diskette is for displaying dot patterns. The y do not replace or modify t he display driver. When you first use y our monitor you must perf or m Automatic Setup ( A UTO S ETUP ).

(see page 6) Locate the operating system installed on y our PC in the table belo w and f ollow the appropriate instructions.
8 A uto Setup for DOS If the monitor is in standb y mode (STANDBY ON), it may automatically turn off while you are waiting for it to warm up. If this happens, switch off the monitor and switch it on again after a few seconds. 1. T urn on the monitor first; then the PC .

12 If the screen flickers, repeat the setup several times until the flicker is minimised, or adjust it ma nually by following Manual Setup on page 13. 16. When finished, the OSD main menu returns. Press the Exit b utton to e xit from the OSD . 17. Press the ESCAPE ke y to retur n to the OS/2 Window .

14 Adjusting Y our LCD Monitor User contr ols User control f eatures Operation The image is already optimized for many display modes, however the user controls can be used to adjust the image to your liking. • Press any of the OSD control b uttons to display the main OSD menu.

16 On-screen displa y (OSD) contr ols The settings adjustable with the user controls are vie wed through the On- Screen Displa y (OSD). Press any of the OSD b uttons to activate the OSD . The LCD monitor needs time to become thermally stable the first time you turn it on each day.

24 2. Carefully inser t the head of a flathead (–) screwdriver into the slot visib le along either side of the cable co ver (a) and pry it off. 3. Squeeze the sides of the hinge co ver (b) and pull it off . 4. Gently lift the stand cov er (c) along the top and then slide it backwa rds and off the stand.
