8 – English SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS The machine ′ s vibration damping system reduces the transf er of vibration between the engine unit/cutting equipment and the machine ′ s handle unit. Regularly check the vibration damping units f or cracks or def ormation.
9 – English ASSEMBL Y Assembling the s weeper • Slide the plastic slee ve (w ear protection) (A) onto the shaft (B). • Fit the gearbo x (C) on the tube (B). Tighten clamp screw (D) at the gearbo x. Tighten the two locking screws (E) on the gearbo x.
10 – English FUEL HANDLING Fuel safety Ne ver start the machine: 1 If you ha ve spilt fuel on it. Wipe off the spillage and allow remaining fuel to e vapor ate. 2 If you ha ve spilt fuel on yourself or y our clothes, change your clothes . W ash any par t of your body that has come in contact with fuel.
English – 11 FUEL HANDLING Mixing • Alwa ys mix the gasoline and oil in a clean container intended f or fuel. • Alwa ys star t by fi lling half the amount of the gasoline to be used. Then add the entire amount of oil. Mix (shake) the fuel mixture.
12 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Star ting and stopping Starting Primer bulb: Press the primer bulb repeatedly until fuel begins to fi ll the bulb . The bulb need not be completely fi lled. Choke: Set the choke control in the chok e position.

16 – English MAINTENANCE Low speed jet L T r y to fi nd the highest idling speed, tur ning the low speed needle L clockwise respectiv ely counter-clockwise. When the highest speed has been f ound, turn the low speed needle L 1/ 4 turn counter-clockwise.

The muf fl er is designed to reduce the noise le vel and to direct the e xhaust gases aw a y from the operator .
18 – English MAINTENANCE Air fi lter The air fi lter must be regularly cleaned to remov e dust and dir t in order to av oid: • Carburettor malfunctions • Star ting problems • Loss of engine power • Unnecessar y wear to engine parts • Excessive fuel consumption.
