14 – English FUEL HANDLING Fuel CA UTION! The machine is equipped with a two-strok e engine and must alwa ys been run using a mixture of gasoline and two-strok e engine oil. It is impor tant to accurately measure the amount of oil to be mix ed to ensure that the correct mixture is obtained.
English – 15 FUEL HANDLING Fuelling • Clean the area around the fuel cap . Contamination in the tank can cause operating prob lems. • Ensure that the fuel is well mix ed by shaking the container bef ore fi lling the tank.
16 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Chec k bef ore star ting • Inspect the working area. Remov e any objects that could be thrown out. • Check the cutting attachment. Nev er use blades that are dull, crac ked or damaged. • Check that the machine is in perf ect working order .

Grip the star ter handle, slowly pull out the cord with y our right hand until you f eel some resistance (the star ter pawls grip), now quic kly and powerfully pull the cord.

English – 19 MAINTENANCE High speed jet H The high speed jet H aff ects the engine power , speed, temperature and fuel consumption. If the high speed jet H is set too lean (screw ed in too f ar) the engine speed will be too high and cause engine damage.
20 – English MAINTENANCE Cooling system T o keep the working temperature as low as possib le the machine is equipped with a cooling system. The cooling system consists of: 1 Air intake on the starter . 2 Fins on the fl ywheel. 3 Cooling fi ns on the cylinder .
English – 21 MAINTENANCE Gear housing There are three grease nipples on the gear housing. Use a grease gun to top up with grease . This should be carr ied out appro ximately e very 20 working hours. Use Husqvarna special grease, part no. 503 98 96-01.
