8 – English GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS Hand guar d (325HD A65,323HE3,325HE3) The hand guard pre vents hands from coming into contact with the moving b lades, f or example, if the oper ator loses grip on the front handle. Check that the hand guard is fitted correctly .
English – 9 GENERAL SAFETY PRECA UTIONS Blades T o ensure good cutting results it is impor tant that the contact pressure between the b lades is correct. The contact pressure is adjusted by turning the screws on the underside of the bar clockwise as f ar as they will go .
10 – English ASSEMBL Y Fitting the hand guar d and loop handle (325HD A65,323HE3,325HE3) 1 Assemble the hand guard and loop handle b y screwing them together . T ak e care to align the holes in both par ts. (325HD A65, 323HE3) 2 Slide the loop handle and hand guard onto the shaft.
English – 11 ASSEMBL Y Fitting the impact guar d (325HE4) Fit the guard using the three screws and w ashers. Fit the two shor t screws in hole A. Tighten the screws to a torque of 4 Nm. After the machine has been in use for around 20 hours , re-tighten the screws to 4 Nm.
12 – English FUEL HANDLING Fuel safety Ne ver start the machine: 1 If you ha ve spilt fuel on it. Wipe off the spillage and allow remaining fuel to e vapor ate. 2 If you ha ve spilt fuel on yourself or y our clothes, change your clothes . W ash any part of your body that has come in contact with fuel.
English – 13 FUEL HANDLING Mixing • Alwa ys mix the petrol and oil in a clean container intended f or fuel. • Alwa ys star t by filling half the amount of the petrol to be used. Then add the entire amount of oil. Mix (shake) the fuel mixture. Add the remaining amount of petrol.
14 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Chec k bef ore star ting • Inspect the working area. Remov e any objects that could be thrown out. • Check the cutting attachment. Nev er use blades that are dull, crac ked or damaged. • Check that the machine is in perf ect working order .

16 – English W ORKING TECHNIQUES Safety instructions after completing w ork • The transpor t guard should alwa ys be fitted to the cutting attachment when the machine is not in use. • Make sure the cutting attachment has stopped bef ore cleaning, carr ying out repairs or an inspection.

First tur n the idle adjustment screw T clockwise until the b lades star t to move . Then turn the idle adjustment screw T anticlockwise until the blades stop .
20 – English MAINTENANCE Cooling system T o keep the working temperature as lo w as possible the machine is equipped with a cooling system. The cooling system consists of: 1 Air intake on the starter . 2 Fins on the flywheel. 3 Cooling fins on the cylinder .
English – 21 MAINTENANCE Gear housing There is a grease nipple and a plug f or filling lubr icant on the gear housing. Use a grease gun to fill with grease . New machines are first filled with grease after appro ximately 20 hours of operation, and subsequently appro ximately ev er y 60 hours of operation.
