Vibration damping system Y our machine is equipped with a vibration damping system that is designed to minimise vibration and mak e operation easier .
6 – English SAFETY INSTR UCTIONS Chec king, maintaining and servicing the machine ′ s safety equipment Throttle loc k • Make sure the throttle control is loc ked at the idle setting when the throttle lock is released. • Press the throttle lock and mak e sure it retur ns to its original position when you release it.

12 – English FUEL HANDLING Fuel CA UTION! The machine is equipped with a two-strok e engine and must alwa ys been run using a mixture of gasoline and two-strok e engine oil. It is impor tant to accurately measure the amount of oil to be mix ed to ensure that the correct mixture is obtained.
English – 13 FUEL HANDLING Fuelling • Clean the area around the fuel cap . Contamination in the tank can cause operating prob lems. • Ensure that the fuel is well mix ed by shaking the container bef ore filling the tank.
14 – English ST AR TING AND ST OPPING Chec k bef ore star ting • Inspect the working area. Remov e any objects that could be thrown out. • Check the cutting attachment. Nev er use blades that are dull, crac ked or damaged. • Check that the machine is in perf ect working order .
English – 15 ST AR TING AND ST OPPING W arm engine Ignition: Set the stop s witch to the star t position. Choke: Set the choke control in the chok e position and then back to its original position (B). This only engages the star t throttle setting without any chok e.
16 – English MAINTENANCE Carb urettor Y our Husqvarna product has been designed and manuf actured to specifications that reduce har mful emissions. After the engine has used 8-10 tanks of fuel the engine will be run-in.
English – 17 MAINTENANCE Fine adjustment of the idle speed T Adjust the idle speed with the idle adjustment screw T , if adjustment is necessar y . First turn the idle adjustment screw T clockwise until the b lades star t to move . Then tur n the idle adjustment screw T anticlockwise until the b lades stop.
18 – English MAINTENANCE Muf fl er CA UTION! Some muf fl ers are fi tted with a catalytic conv er ter . See chapter on T echnical data to see whether your machine is fi tted with a catalytic conv er ter . The muf fl er is designed to reduce the noise le vel and to direct the e xhaust gases aw a y from the operator .
English – 19 MAINTENANCE Cleaning the air fi lter Remov e the air fi lter cover and tak e out the fi lter . Wash it clean in warm, soapy w ater . Ensure that the fi lter is dr y before re fi tting it. An air fi lter that has been in use f or a long time cannot be cleaned completely .
