A firm grip will help y ou reduc e kic kbac k and maintain cont rol of the s aw. Keep the finger s of y our left hand encir- cling and y our left thumb under the fr ont handlebar .

7 Place chain onto the sprocket 8. Fit bottom of drive link s betw een the teeth in the spr ock et in t he nose of the guide bar . 9. Fit c hain driv e links in bar gr oove. 10. Pull the bar forw ard until the c hain is snug in the guide bar groove. Ens ure all driv e links are in t he bar groov e.

9 CHAIN BRAKE WAR N I N G : If the brak e band is worn too thin it may break w hen the chain brak e is trigger ed. With a brok en brak e band, the chain br ake w ill not s top the c hain. The chain br ake s hould be r eplaced by an autho- riz ed ser vic e dealer if any part i s wor n to less than 0,5 mm thick.
