12 T urn on your P ocket PC Phone Press and hold the POWER butt on to turn on your device. When you turn on your device f or the first time, a Quick Start W izard will guide you through the screen calibration proc ess and the setup of regional settings, dat e and time, passwor d, Outlook e-mail, and POP3/IMAP4 e-mail accounts.
13 4. Making a Call Like a standard mobile phone, y ou can use your device to make, r eceive, and keep track of phone calls and send SMS messages. The Phone screen Fr om the Phone screen, you can acc ess Call History, Speed Dial, and P hone settings. T o open the Phone screen, do one of the follo wing: • Use the stylus to tap Start > Phone .
14 5. Synchr onizing Outlook Information Using Microsoft® ActiveSync®, you can synchroniz e information on your device with inf ormation on your PC, such as Outlook content. A c tiveSync is already installed on y our device, but you need to install it on your PC if you don ’t already have it.

16 6. Setting Up E-mail Acc ounts The E-mail Setup Wizard makes it easy and simple t o set up your Outlook e-mail and POP3/IMAP4 accounts on your devic e. Set up e -mail accounts using E-mail Setup W izard 1. T ap Start > Messaging . 2. T ap Menu > T ools > New Ac count to access the E-mail Setup Wizard .
17 Set up a POP3/IMAP4 e -mail account Set up a POP3 or IMAP4 e-mail account on your device if you hav e an e-mail account with an Internet service provider (ISP) or an account that you acc ess using a VPN server connection (typically a work account).
18 7. Sending a Message Y our device is capable of sending and receiving E-mail , SMS, and MMS messages as long as it is connected to the network. Although you can send text messages (SMS) to only mobile phone numbers, MMS messages can be sent to both mobile phone numbers and e-mail addresses.
19 8. Brow sing the Internet Y ou can set up connections to the Internet or to a corporate network to br owse the Internet. The pre-loaded browser , Internet Explorer Mobile , is a full-featur ed Internet browser , and optimized for use on your device .
20 9. Using the C amera T aking photos and recording video clips along with audio is easy with your device ’ s built-in camera. Launch the camera • T ap Start > Programs > Camera . • T ap Start > Programs > Pictures & Videos , then tap the Camera icon.
21 10. Using P ictures & Videos The Pictures & Videos program collects, organizes, and sorts all of your captured images and video clips on your device.
22 Play videos 1. T ap Start > Programs > Pictures & Videos . By default, the contents of the My Pictures f older will be shown. 2. T o find the video clips that you captured , tap the down arrow ( ) next to the My Pictures folder and tap My Documents.
23 11. Music Entertainment Open Media Hub on your device for music en tertainment and easy access to multimedia programs . Media Hub is a program launcher that gives y ou quick access to programs such as FM Radio, Audio Manager , and more. 24 T o launch a multimedia program, do one of the f ollowing: • On the Media Hub screen, tap the icon of the desired pr ogram. • Use the T rackball or T rack Wheel to scroll to the icon of a desired prog ram then press the T rack ball. FM Radio FM Radio allows you t o listen to FM r adio stations on your device.
25 Audio Manager Audio Manager is a music bro wser and player in one . It gives you access to all the music files on your device, and allo ws you to easily bro wse for the music that y ou want to play by or ganizing music into categories such as title, artist, album, etc.
