user’ s guide 1 Intr oduction This LCD monitor has a 15-inch / 38.1-centi meter active matrix TFT (th in film transistor) liquid cryst al display module. It is designed for us e with any Windows ® -based PC. The moni tor’s compact-sized design provides great space savin gs on your computer desk.

With that in mind, we have dev eloped some setup and use recommendations bas ed on established ergonomic principles for you to follo w.
user’ s guide 3 Locations and Functions of Controls There are three con trol buttons and o ne Power button on th e front panel of the displa y, as well as a LED for power status indication. You use the Power button, the but ton on the right in the button p anel on the front of your monitor, to t urn on and off the mon itor.

Installing the Drivers The monitor comes with driver software allowing you to take advantag e of the Plug and Play feature of the Microsoft ® Windows ® Me, Windows 2000, or Windows XP operating system.

user’ s guide 7 Tilting the Display The monitor has a tilt feature tha t allows you to til t the display back and fort h as well as left and righ t to find the most comforta ble viewing po sition. To tilt the display, grasp the sides and push the display back or pull it toward you, or t urn it left or right u ntil it is in the desired positi on.
8 user’ s guide Caring for and Cleaning the Display To maximize screen life and prevent damag e to the LCD panel, we recomme nd that you: • Use the disp lay power managem ent system (if available on your PC). • If you don’t use a power managem ent system, turn off the display whe n you won’t be using it for an extended period.
user’ s guide 9 Displaying the OSD “Main Menu” You can use the O SD features to cha nge the screen settings of your display. To display the OSD “Main Menu”, press the ‘ Select ’ button. The following table briefly describes each of the items in the OSD “Main Me nu”.

After the execu tion of the Auto Setup functio n, it will show th e follow message: If the image looks corre ct, choose Yes . Or If the image requires furt her adjustment, ch oose No , and the ‘Phase’ b ar will show.

The fullness of the graphic bar as well as the num erical value at the righ t corner is changed ac cordingly. NOTE: We recommend you do Au to Setup before adjusting the con trast setting.
12 user’ s guide Adjusting the “Clock/Phase” Submenu To adjust the “Clock/Ph ase” submenu you sh ould follow the steps below: 1 Bring-up the OSD “ Main Menu ”. 2 Use the ‘ + ’ or ‘ — ’ button to move (forward or backward) to the clock /phase icon and highlight it.
