1 Product Features HP LP3065 The flat pa nel monitor has an active ma trix, thin-film transistor (TFT), liquid crystal display (LCD). The monitor features include: ● 30–inch (76.
2 Safety and Maintenance Guidelines Important Safety Information A power cord is include d with the monitor. If ano ther cord is used, u se only a power source and connection app ropriate for this monitor. For informat ion on the co rrect power cord set to use wi th the monitor, refer to the Power Cord Se t Requirements section in Appendix C.
Maintenance Guidelines To enhance th e performance and ex tend the life o f your monitor: ● Do not open yo ur monitor cabinet or atte mpt to service this product yourself.
3 Setting Up the Monitor To set up the monitor, ensure that the power is turn ed off to the monitor, co mputer system, and other attached de vices, then follow the instructions be low. NOTE Be sure the master power switch, located on th e rear panel of the monitor, is in th e off position.

Selecting the Signal Connectors and Cables The monitor fe atures two DV I-D dual-link connectors capa ble of supp orting high resolu tion digital inpu t.
Connecting the Monitor 1. Place the monitor in a convenient, well- ventila ted location n ear your comp uter. 2. Connect on e end of th e USB hub cable to the USB connector on the rear panel of the comp uter, and the other en d to the upstream USB co nnector on th e monitor.
3. Connect one end of the p ower cable to the AC p ower connector on the back of the moni tor, and the other en d to an electric al wall outlet. Figure 3-5 Connecting the Power Cable 4. Place the cable s through the cab le managemen t channel on the back of th e pedestal ba se.
Adjusting the Monitor 1. Adjust the monitor's panel forward or backw ard to set it to a comfortable eye leve l. Figure 3-7 Tilting the Monitor 2. Swivel the monitor to the le ft or right for the be st viewing angle.
3. Adjust the monitor's height so that it is parallel to your eye height for a comforta ble viewing position. Figure 3-9 Adjusting the Height NOTE If the display head is locked in the lowest hei ght position, push down on the display head, press the button on the b ase to unlock, and then lift the mon itor display hea d to the desired he ight.
Turning on the Monitor 1. Press the power switch to turn on the computer. 2. Press the master po wer switch on the rear of the LCD. 3. Press the power button on the front of the monitor. CAUTION Burn-in image damag e may occur on monitors that disp lay the same static image on screen for a prolong ed period of time.
Figure 3-11 Using the Accessory Rails Feature Removing the Monitor Pedestal Base You can remove the monito r pedestal to mount the mo nitor on a wall, a swing arm, or ot her mounting fixture. CAUTION Before b eginning to di sassemble the monitor, be sure the monitor is turned o ff and the power and signal cab les are both disconnecte d.
Mounting the Monitor 1. Remove the monitor pedestal base. Refer to Removing the Monito r Pedestal Base in the previous section. CAUTION This monitor supports the VESA industry standard 100mm mounting holes. To attach a third party mounting solution to the mon itor, four 4mm, 0.
3. Mount the Quick Rele ase to a swing arm or othe r mounting fixture using the four screws remove d from the Quick Release in the previous step. Figure 3-14 Installi ng the Quick Releas e CAUTION Th e Quick Release can also be install ed directly to a wall to mount th e monitor panel.
Locating the Rating Labels The rating labels on the monitor pro vide the spare part number, product nu mber, and serial number. You may need th ese numbers when contactin g HP a bou t your monitor model. The ratin g labels are located on the re ar panel of the monitor di splay head.
4 Operating the Monitor Software and Utilities The CD that comes with the monitor conta ins files you ca n install on your comp uter: ● an .INF (Information) file ● an .ICM (Image Color Match ing) file ● additional software for the monitor model Adobe Reade r is supplied on this CD an d can be installed from the menu.
Installing from the CD To install the .INF and .ICM files on the computer from the CD: 1. Insert the CD i n the computer CD-ROM d rive. The CD menu displays. 2. View the “Monitor Driver Software Readme” file. 3. Select “Install Monitor Driver Software.
NOTE The monitor doe s not support an On-Screen Disp lay (OSD) menu. HP Display LiteSaver HP Display LiteSaver is a software application, av a ilable on the CD, tha t increases monitor life a nd saves energy.
