2 Setting Up the Monitor To set up the monitor, en sure that the power is turn ed off to the mon itor, compu ter system, and other attached devices, then follow the instructions below. Attaching the Monitor Base 1. Lift the base from the monitor box and set it on a flat surface such as a table top.

Connecting the Cables 1. Place the monitor in a convenient, well- ventilated l ocation near the computer. 2. Remove the cable managemen t clip from the pede stal by pul ling outward on the two sides of the clip (1) then lifting th e clip off the pedestal (2 ).
5. Connect one end of th e power cord to the AC power connecto r on the back of th e monitor, and the other end to an electrical wall outlet. Figure 2-4 Connecting the Cables WARNING ! To reduce the risk of elec tric shock or damage to the equipme nt: Do not disable the power cord groun ding plug.

Removing the Monitor Pedestal Base You can remove the monitor panel from the pedestal b ase to install the panel on a wall, a swing arm, or other mounting fixture. CAUTION: Before beginning to disassemble the monitor, be sure th e monitor is turned off and the power and signal ca bles are both disc onnected.
2. To attach the monitor to a swing arm, insert four 10m m screws through the hol es on the swing arm plate and into the mounting holes on th e monitor.
