3 Set tin g Up t he Monitor T o set up the monitor , ensure that the po wer is turned off to the monitor , computer system, and other attached devices, then follo w the steps belo w . Installin g the Stan d Ba se 1. Place the monitor with its front facing downw ard on a cushion or soft cloth.

Setting Up the Monitor 4. Adjust the monitor as needed for your comfort using the monitor’ s tilt and swi vel adjustment capabilities. ✎ It is recommended that in order to maintain an ergonomic and comfortable vie wing position, the forward tilt angle of the monitor should not exceed 5 de grees.
Setting Up the Monitor ✎ The Self Image Setting Function provides you with optimal display settings. When the monitor is connected for the first time, this function automatically adjusts the display to optimal settings for indi vidual input signals.
Setting Up the Monitor Mountin g the Monitor The monitor panel can be mounted on a wall, a swing arm, or other mounting fixture. 1. If the stand base is attached, follow the procedure in “Removing the Stand Base” at the be ginning of this chapter .

4 Opera ting t he Monitor Soft war e and Utiliti es The monitor includes a CD that contains two f iles you can install on your computer: ■ an .INF (Information) file ■ an .ICM (Image Color Matching) file Adobe Acrobat Reader is supp lied on this CD and can be installed from the menu.
Oper ating the Monitor work through separate BNC type connectors or through distribution b uffers/box es. Y ou may need to install the .INF file if these conditions are not met. The Imag e Color M atc hing File The .ICM file pro vides accurate color representation.
Operating the Monito r 6. Ensure that the proper resolution and refresh rates appear in the W indows Display control panel. ✎ Y ou may need to install the digitally signed monitor .INF and .ICM files manually from the CD in the e vent of an installation error .

Oper ating the Monitor Optimizin g Digital Conv ersion This monitor contains adv anced circuitry that allo ws the flat panel screen to function like a standard monitor . T wo controls in the on-screen display can be adjusted to improv e image performance: Clock and Phase.
Operating the Monito r ■ Check Signal Cable— Indicates the signal cable is not properly connected to the computer . ■ OSD Locked—The OSD can be enabled or disabled by pressing and holding the Menu button on the front panel for 5 seconds. If the OSD is locked, the warning message OSD LOCKED displays for ten seconds.

T echnical S pecif icati ons Recognizing Preset Displ ay R esolu tions The display resolutions listed belo w are the most commonly used modes and are set as factory defa ults. This monitor automatically recognizes these preset modes and they will appear properly sized and centered on the screen.
T echnical S pecifi cations Enterin g User Modes The video controller signal may occasionally call for a mode that is not preset if: ■ Y ou are not using a standard graphics adapter . ■ Y ou are not using a preset mode. If this occurs, you may need to re adjust the parameters of the monitor screen by using the on-screen display .
T echnical S pecif icati ons By selecting settings in the monitor’ s Energ y Saver utility , you can also program the monitor to enter into the reduced po wer state at a predetermined time. When the monitor’ s Energy Sa ver utility causes the monitor to enter the reduced po wer state, the Po wer light turns amber .
