2 Setting Up the Monitor To set up the monitor, ensure th at the power is turned off to the monitor, co mputer system, and other attached dev ices, and the n follow th e instructions below. Extending the Monitor Stand 1. Lift the monitor from its box and place it face down on a flat surface.

Connecting the Cables 1. Place the monitor in a convenient, well-v entilated location near the computer. Figure 2-3 Connecting the monitor 2. Connect one end of the DisplayPort signal cable (p rovided with select mo dels) to the DisplayPort connector on the side of the monitor and the other end to the DisplayPort connector on the computer.

5. Remove the four screws from the monitor stand. Figure 2-7 Removing the screws from the monitor stand Save the monitor stand and the four screws, in the event that you decide to convert your monitor back to a desktop monitor in the future.
Installing the VESA Adapter Plate onto the Monitor NOTE: This apparatus is intended to be supporte d by a UL or CSA Listed wall-mount bracket . 1. Remove the stand from the monitor panel. Refer to Removing the Stand from the Monitor on page 7 . 2. Install the VESA adapter plate that shipped with the monitor.
b. Secure the lower edge of the VESA adapter pl ate to the bracket hinge with four screws. Figure 2-9 Securing the VESA adapt er plate 3. To attach the monitor to a VESA-compatible device (purchased separa tely), follow the instructions included with that device to ensure that the monitor is safely attached.
4. Remove the four screws secur ing the lower ed ge of the VESA adapter plate to the bracket hinge. Figure 2-10 Removing the sc rews secu ring the VESA adapter plate 5. Slide the VESA adapter plate toward the lower edge of the monitor and off the bra cket hinge.
Replacing the Stand 1. Align the monitor stand ov er the bracket hi nge and secure it wi th the four screws. Figure 2-12 Securing the monit or stand 2.
Turning on the Monitor 1. Press the power button on the front of the monitor to turn it on. 2. Press the power button on the computer to turn it on. CAUTION: Burn-in image damage may occur on monitors that display the same static image on the screen for a pr olonged perio d of time (12 or more consecutive hours of no n-use).
