7 Ho w to use y our dr yer 1. Plug in, s witch on electricity . 2. Sor t your laundry (see section “Sor ting Y our Laundr y”) 3. Open the door . Check that the fluff filter is clean (see section How to remov e and clean the fluff filter).
8 Sor ting y our laundry 1. Alwa ys separate laundry into the correct fabric groups bef ore washing and drying. 2. See that all zips are closed, hooks and eyes are f astened and belt, strings etc. are tied loosely in bows, y ou will normally have done this f or each item before the w ashing stage.
9 W ash Care Labels Most of toda y’ s f abrics can be tumble dried in your Dr yer with no trouble at all, b ut there are cer tain f abric finishes which should be dried awa y from direct heat. The majority of gar ments now ha ve w ash-care labels on them, giving full washing and drying instr uctions.
10 Items requiring special attention The dr ying requirements of b lankets and bedspreads will, of course, vary tremendously according to size and weight. Some, how ev er are simply too big. if y ou hav e difficulty getting them into the Dr yer , the machine will hav e difficulty drying them proper ly .
11 The Contr ols T urn the Timer cloc kwise to select the required drying time. The timer controls the dr ying time f or both heat settings. All you hav e to do is turn the Timer knob cloc kwise until it lines up with the required time. Never wind the Timer Control anti-c lockwise.
12 Please note that the Dr ying Times stated belo w and on appliance control panel are a GUIDE only and dr ying times are aff ected by: Items such as towelling retain a lot of w ater after spinning, also the suggested wash progr amme for small items such as T -Shir ts ma y sometimes incor porate a lo w spin speed which has the same effect.
13 Ho w to remo ve and c lean the fluff filter Caring f or y our Dr yer When finished After each load As necessary Lubrication Y our tumble dryer needs very little attention. The f ollowing simple steps will keep it perf orming well. Switch off electricity and remo ve plug.
14 If something goes wr ong First, don’t panic! There ma y be nothing wrong at all. Look for your problem belo w , then chec k the things we suggest. More often than not, this will give y ou the ans wer to your prob lem, and you’ll be ab le to carr y on without ha ving to telephone your Service Office.
