V ertical vents that run on the outside of a building may be, but are not required to be, installed inside a chase.

Follow the pipe manufacturer ’s installation guidelines when installing the appliance. This will ensure proper operation and prevent safety hazards.

22 Heatilator • GB4336/GB4992 • 4003-085 Rev H • 04/06 D. Standing Pilot Ignition System Wiring • This standing pilot ignition system wiring does not require a 1 10 V AC supply to operate. See Figure 10.3 for the wiring diagram. • It is recommended that a 1 10 V AC junction box be installed for use with a fan or remote control.

Junction Box Installation • Remove the junction box assembly from the valve compartment. • If the box is being wired from the OUTSIDE of the appliance; - Loosen two screws on the Romex connector , feed the necessary length of wire through the connector and tighten the screws.

Clean glass door s (if installed). Close the do ors (if installed) and run the applianc e for an additional 1 2 hours.

Pilot fl ame may be too high, too low , or blowing (high), causing pilot safety to drop out. Clean and adjust the pilot fl ame for maximum fl ame impingement on thermocouple.

V erify that incoming gas line ball valve is “open”. V erify that inlet pressure reading is within acceptable limits, inlet pressure must not exceed 14 in.
