1 Chapter 1 General Informati on The Conversion Kit is used to pro vide additional status moni toring capabilities for the Gen erac- Bo wman ge nera tor . Safety This Safety Guide contains im portant instructions that s hould be follo wed during installation and maintenance of the APC equipment and batteries.
2 Chapter 2 Installation and Maintenance Only trained service personnel should install and maintain the Po wer Supply. Unpacking The packaging is recyclable; save it for reuse or dispos e of it properly .
3 Power Shutdown Procedu re The generato r power supply must be shutdow n prior to installing t he Conversion Kit . 1. Ensure th at the CTEG4M Enclos ure is NOT runn ing on generator pow er. 2. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal in the generator enclosure.
4 4. Route the new long harness along the outer edge s of the enclosures following the path of the original wiring as closely as possible. Use tie-wraps when necessary . 5. Attach the new long harn ess to the transponder in the C TEG4M Enclosure. See figure below for details.
