26 Hampton ® H15-1 Direct V ent Freestanding Gas Stove CONVERTING CLASS-A MET AL CHIMNEY OR MASONR Y CHIMNEY T O DIRECT VENT SYSTEM There are two different types of direct vent conversion systems listed below . Follow the appropriate directions for your installation.

Ensure that all pipe and elbow connections are in their fully twist lock position.
28 Hampton ® H15-1 Direct V ent Freestanding Gas Stove GAS PIPE PRESSURE TESTING The appliance must be isolated from the gas supply piping system by closing its individual manual shut-off valve during any pressure testing of the gas supply piping system at test pressures equal to or less than 1/2 psig.

34 Hampton ® H15-1 Direct V ent Freestanding Gas Stove CAUTION Do not connect the millivolt remote control wires to the 120V wires. 3) Install 3 AAA alkaline batteries in transmitter and 4 AA alkaline batteries in the receiver . Install the receiver and its cover in the wall.

Wiring errors can cause improper and dangerous opera- If any of the original wires as supplied with the appliance must be replaced, it must be replaced with CSA type SEW (200 o C) or its equivalent.
