4 1. Intr oduction Password Disk USB 3 .0 is an external enclosure for 2.5" SATA Hard Disk equ ipped with a keypad to protect y our data wi th a personal password from 4 to 12 di gits. The data will be protected from unauthoriz ed access with 2 56 - bit AES international standard encryption.

7 2. Hard disk installatio n The installation of the hard disk in t he HEXD25U3KK enclosure can be performed without screwdriver as the box consists of t wo parts that fit together. The enclosure comes with the two plastic par ts already separated. T o install the disk, pr oceed as follows.
8 Password setup 1. Press “1” and “3” numbers together and with numbers pressed, connect the enclosure to the co mpute r with t he USB ca ble. 2. Keep pressed “1” and “3” numbers for at least 20 seconds. Within 20s th e green LED bl inks a nd then turn on.
9 4. Input now the pa ssword you want to set and p ress the ENTER (#) button to save it. The password length must be between 4 and 12 digits. If password setu p procedure is su ccessful, the oran ge LED turns off. 5. Input the passw ord again and pre ss “#” to confirm.
10 3.2 Read and Write data Once you set the password encryption on the device, you must unlock the hard disk in order to read an d write data . 1. C onnect Hamlet Password D isk to the computer w ith the included USB c able. The red and green LED s turn on.
11 3.3 Change the password If you nee d to change the password , follow the steps below . 1. Press the CANCEL (*) button and conne ct the enclosur e to the computer with the USB cable . Keep pressed t he “*” button for about 5 seconds until red , green and orange LEDs turn on.
