■ Oversized foods, metal foil packages, or utensils must not be inserted in a toaster as they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock. ■ Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off pad and touch electrical parts resulting in risk of electrical shock.
P ARTS AND FEA TURES Food Slots with Guides Slide-Out Crumb T rays (located on back) Bread Lifter Programming Buttons Shade Selector Bread Lifter –Push down the Bread Lifter to start the toaster . The Bread Lifter may be lif ted up to stop toasting during a cycle.
5 Programming Buttons Cancel – This light will illuminate when the toaster is on. T o cancel or end a cycle, press the Cancel button. The cycle will stop and the light will go out. Bagel – Use to toast only the cut side of a bagel, English muffin, or bun.
HOW TO TOAST 6 ■ Plug the toaster into an electrical outlet. ■ Place the bread or bagels in slots. Select the desired toast shade and press the Bread Lifter down. If toasting bagels or English Muffins, place them in slots with cut sides facing inside and push Bagel AFTER pressing Bread Lifter down.
CLEANING NOTE: If the toaster is used daily, the crumb tray should be cleaned weekly. 1. Unplug the toaster and let it cool. 2. Slide out the crumb tray, discard the crumbs and wipe the tray with clean cloth. Replace the crumb tray. 3. Wipe the outside of the toaster with a damp cloth.
