Installation 312900G 11 Connect the Air Line 1. Connect the Gr aco Grounded Air Supply Hose (R) between th e air supply line and the gun's air inle t (V) (F IG . 2). The gun air inlet f itting has a left -hand thread. Con nect the air supply ho se grou nd wire (Q) to a true ear th ground.
Installation 12 312900G Connect the Exhaust T ube Press the e xhaust tube (38 ) onto the barbed a dapter on the bottom of th e gun handle . Secure the tube with the clamp (39) (F IG . 5). Connect the Fluid Line 1. Bef ore connecting the fluid line (N), b lo w it out with air and flush it with solvent.
Installation 312900G 13 Select a Fluid Nozzle and Air Cap The gun is supplied with P ar t No. 197266 Nozzle and 24A276 Air Cap. If you require a different size, ref er to T able 1 and T abl e 2 , and instruction manual 309419, or consult with your Graco dist ributor .
Installation 14 312900G Gr ounding The follo wing are minimum grou nding requ irements f or a basic elect rostatic sys tem. Y ou r system may include other equipment or objects which must be grounded. Check yo ur local ele ctrical code for detailed grounding instru ctions.

Installation 16 312900G Chec k Fluid Viscosity T o c heck fluid viscosity you will need: • a viscosity cup • a stopw atch. 1. Completely submerge the viscosity cup in th e fluid. Lift the cup out q uickly , star ting the stopwat ch as soon as the cup is completely remo v ed.

Gun Repair 30 312900G Repair P acking Rod You may replace the packing rod as individ ual parts or as an asse mbly. The assembly is pre-adjusted at the factory for proper air lead and lag. The gun begins emit- ting air befo re the fluid is d ischarged and the f luid stops before the air flow st ops.
