CHAPTER 1: Using Your Ga teway Flat-Panel Monitor 2 Connecting the monitor T o set up the monitor , first attach the base , then make your cabl e connections. Attaching th e base T o attach the base: 1 Slide th e monitor’s nec k onto the base. 2 Place the monit or face-up on a sta ble surface .

CHAPTER 1: Using Your Ga teway Flat-Panel Monitor 8 6 Slide th e adjustable stand ’s neck onto the b ase. 7 Tighten the thumbscrew with your fingers ( or a flat sc rewdriver) under the b ase to secure the neck in to place.
www.gateway.com 9 9 Attach the brac ket to the LCD panel using t he four screws you removed previously . 10 Slide th e neck’s brack et slot onto the b racket’s mo unting tab. 11 Press the bracket lever to the right and hold it , then lower the neck into pl ace and release the lever .
CHAPTER 1: Using Your Ga teway Flat-Panel Monitor 10 Adjusting monit or height tension The stand is fact ory adjusted to m aintain the heig ht for your monitor . However , if it does not stay in place when you let go, you need t o change the stand’s heig ht tension.
www.gateway.com 11 Adjusti ng monitor ti lt tensi on T o adjust your monitor’s tilt tension: • Adjust the ti lt tension screw (on the top of the stand ) so the monit or stays in p lace when you let go. If the m onitor changes its tilt an gle when you let go, turn the screw c lockwise one complete turn to increase the tension.

www.gateway.com 13 Installing t he speaker bar T o inst all the s peake r bar : 1 Tilt the screen back, then cente r the speak e r bar below the screen. Mak e sure that the speakers face forward. 2 Tighten the two thumbscrews on the back of the speaker bar .

The power LED on the pow er button changes from purple (off) to blue ( on). 2 T urn on your computer . After your computer is running, the power LED on the monitor’s power button sho uld be blue.
