9 EN Clip-On Remote Features The clip-on remote lets you operate many functions of your Altec Lansing Mix speaker system: T ur n on your speaker system Press the button. T ur n of f your speaker system Press the button. Change audio source Press the “SOURCE” button to cycle through and select the audio sour ce: iPod, FM radio, AUX 1 or AUX 2.
10 Play/pause a song on your iPhone or iPod In “iPod” mode, press the button to begin playing a selected track. Press the button again to pause it. T une radio stations In “FM” mode, use the or buttons. See the Listening to the Radio section for additional information.
11 EN Listening to Y our iPhone or iPod 1 Dock your iPhone or iPod in the Altec Lansing Mix speaker system. Make sure the corr ect adapter for iPhone or iPod is inserted in the speaker system’ s dock. Slide the guard down to protect the iPhone or iPod.
12 How to Access Additional Features on Y our iPhone or iPod Using the Clip-on Remote First, select “iPod” mode. Press the “SOURCE” button on your speaker system or clip-on r emote until the iPod icon appears on the LCD.
13 EN Setting EQ Controls How to Set the Bass and T reble Control Using the Onboard Contr ols 1 Access the bass and treble settings. Press the “EQ” button once. The Bass Contr ol screen will appear on the LCD. 2 Increase or decr ease the bass level.
14 NOTE Y ou can personalize the EQ presets by selecting a Preset EQ then pressing the “EQ” button twice to enter the Bass/T reble Control Mode. There you can make adjustments to the Pr eset EQs as described in the Bass and T reble Control sections.
15 EN Whenever your iPhone or iPod is docked and your Altec Lansing inMotion Max speaker system is plugged into an AC outlet, your iPhone or iPod is charging (until fully charged) – even if the speaker system is switched off.
