FR ES DE SE IT 3 -EN Never Attempt the Following Do not grip or pull out the disc while it is being pulled back into the player by the automatic reloading mechanism. Do not attempt to insert a disc into the unit when the unit power is of f. Inserting Discs Y our player accepts only one disc at a time for playback.
4 -EN Detaching the Fr ont P anel 1 Press and hold the PO WER button f or at least 3 seconds to turn off the power . 2 Press the (Release) button at lo w er left corner until the front panel pops out. 3 Grasp the left side of the front panel and pull it out.

The volume le vel g radually increases to the pre vious level y ou were listening to bef ore the unit was turned off.
6 -EN Basic Operation B AND f UP g DN BASS C. TREBLE C. SETUP 1 2 Setting the Bass Contr ol Y ou can change the Bass F requency emphasis to create your o wn tonal preference. 1 Press the B ASS C. button to tur n on the Bass setting mode. 2-1 Setting the Bass frequency: Press the g DN or f UP button to select the desired Bass centre frequency .
FR ES DE SE IT 7 -EN 3 Press the B AND button to toggle the mode between A UX ON and A UX OFF . 4 Press the SETUP b utton to retur n to nor mal mode. 5 T o adjust the volume, etc., first press the SOURCE b utton and select the AUX mode , then make the necessary adjustment.
8 -EN Radio Operations TUNE / A.ME SOURCE F f UP g DN B AND Preset b uttons (1 through 6) Man ual T uning 1 Press the SOURCE button to select the r adio mode.
9 -EN Manual Storing of Station Presets 1 Select the radio band and tune in a desired radio station you wish to store in the preset memory . 2 Press the F b utton so that the F (Function) indicator light goes out.
10 -EN Setting RDS Reception Mode and Receiving RDS Stations The RDS (Radio Data System) is a radio inf or mation system using the 57 kHz subcarrier of regular FM broadcast.
11 -EN Receiving RDS Regional (Local) Stations 1 Press and hold the SETUP button for at least 3 seconds to activate the setting mode. 2 Press the g DN or f UP button to select the REG mode. 3 Press the BAND button to tur n on or off the REG (Regional) mode.
12 -EN Priority News This function allows you to preset to giv e priority to the News prog ramme. Y ou will nev er miss the News progr amme as the unit automatically gives priority to the News programme whene ver it begins broadcasting, and interrupts the programme y ou are currently listening.
13 -EN CD Player Operation Normal Play and Pause 1 Inser t a CD . The CD pla yer begins pla yback from the first track on the disc. The displa y shows the track number and elapsed time of the track being pla y ed. When the last trac k is play ed back the play er retur ns to the first trac k and begins playbac k from that point.
14 -EN M.I.X. F SOURCE - / J TITLE SCAN Preset buttons (1 thr ough 6) CD Player Operation Music Sensor (Skip) 1 Momentarily press the g DN button once during CD play to return to the beginning of the current track. If you wish to access a track further back, repeatedly press until you reach the desired track.
15 -EN Scanning Programmes 1 Press the SCAN button to activate the Scan mode. The first 10 seconds of each track will be pla y ed back in succession. T o stop scanning, press the SCAN b utton to deactivate the Scan mode .
16 -EN Informations In Case of Difficulty If you encounter a prob lem, please re view the items in the f ollowing checklist. This guide will help y ou isolate the problem if the unit is at fault. Otherwise, mak e sure the rest of your system is properly connected or consult your authorized Alpine dealer .
17 -EN Indication for CD Changer • Protecti ve circuit is activ ated due to high temperature. - The indicator will disappear when the temperature returns to within operation range. • Malfunction in the CD Changer . - Consult your Alpine dealer . Press the magazine eject button and pull out the magazine.
18 -EN Installation and Connections Before installing or connecting the unit, please read the following and pages 2 and 3 of this manual thoroughly for proper use. W arning MAKE THE CORRECT CONNECTIONS. Failure to mak e the proper connections may result in fire or product damage.
19 -EN Lock pin 3 Slide the CDM-7859R/CDM-7858R/CDM-7856R into the dashboard. When the unit is in place , make sure the loc king pins are fully seated in the down position. This can be done by pressing fir mly in on the unit while pushing the locking pin down with a small scre wdr iver .
