6 Battery Charger Connector • Plug the charger connector into the battery A . • Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet B . Note: If power flow to the wall outlet is controlled by a switch, make sure the switch is “ON”. • Before first-time use, charge the battery for at least 18 hours.
H4433pr-0920 7 ASSEMBL Y E H0436pr-0920 2 • Insert two #8 x 1 " black screws through one side of the seat and into the floorboard of the vehicle. Tighten the screws. 3 • Insert two #8 x 1 " black screws through the other side of the seat and into the floorboard of the vehicle.
H4433pr-0920 8 ASSEMBL Y E H0436pr-0920 7 • Locate the battery compartment on the back of the sounds and lights unit. • Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door. Remove the battery compartment door . • Insert three, new "AA" (LR6) alkaline batteries, as indicated inside the battery compartment.
9 ASSEMBL Y E H0436pr-0920 8 • Slide the sounds and lights unit into the dash, as shown. • Plug the sounds and lights unit connector into the vehicle connector . Hint: If the connectors do not fit together , do not force them. Simply turn one of them over and try again.
3 2 IMPORT ANT! Use only a Power Wheels ® 12 volt lead-acid rechargeable battery . Use of any other battery will damage your vehicle. Make sure that you charge the battery for at least 18 hours using the enclosed Power Wheels ® 12 volt charger before operating your vehicle for the first time.
• Y our Power Wheels ® battery is a non-spillable, sealed lead-acid battery . It must be recycled or disposed of in an environmentally sound manner. • Do not dispose of a lead-acid battery in a fire. The battery may explode or leak. • Do not dispose of a lead-acid battery in your regular , household trash.
T each Safety Rules to Children While children can quickly develop the skill necessary to drive this vehicle, it is important to remember that their judgment skills are still very immature. Unsupervised driving by children can lead to serious injury .

VEHICLE OPERA TION I • Set the toy car up on a flat surface in front or behind the vehicle. • Press the foot pedal and drive forward or in reverse over the toy car . • Press the sounds button on the sounds and lights unit for monster truck sounds or music.
VEHICLE CARE J L • Check all screws, cap nuts and their protective coverings regularly and tighten as required. Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces. • During snowy or rainy weather , the vehicle should be stored inside or under a protective cover .
