Installation and Safety Guide 7 Installing the r outer in a rack 1. Check the rack. Ensure that the rack is safe ly secur ed and that it will not tip ov er . Devices in a rack should be install ed starting at the bottom, with the hea vier de vices near the bottom of the rack.
AR700 Series Router 8 Installing the r outer on a wall 1. Scre w the brackets to the AR750S r outer . Screw a wall mo unt brack et to the outer scre w holes on each side of the r outer using the shorter screws supplied (see figure belo w).

Invisible l aser radiation ma y be emitted fr om disconnected fibr es or connectors. If you p urchased op tional SFPs for the AR770S, install them in the Ethernet SFP slots (leftmost).
AR700 Series Router 10 Fit the pow er cord r etaining clip to the A C pow er inlet on the ro uter’ s rear panel. Connect the pr ovided power cor d to the A C power inlet and cli p it in place. Switch the r outer’ s power s witch to the ON position.

T o connect the PC directly to the r outer , use a strai ght-thr ough Ethernet cable to connect an Ethernet card on the PC to an y one of the ro uter’ s switch ports.
AR700 Series Router 12 3. Br o wse to the GUI. If you access th e Internet thr ough a pr oxy server , set your br owser to bypass the pr oxy for 192.168.1.1. Po int your w eb browser at 192.168.1.1. 4. Log in and set the pass wor d . At the log in pr ompt, enter the log in name and passw ord.
Installation and Safety Guide 13 Configuring with the CLI Caution If another device on your ne twork alr eady uses the router’ s default IP addre ss, 192.168.1.1, do not connect the r o uter to the netw ork until you ha ve changed the IP addre ss of the router’ s default VLAN by using the command line.
