To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one b lade wider than the other). This plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one wa y . If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, rev erse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician to install the proper outlet.
5 Cord Retainer . To use, push electrical cord down into cord retainer . ON/OFF Switch . International symbol I means On, Inter national symbol O means Off . Dust Cup Latch. Pull up on latch to remove dust cup giving access to the dust cup filter and motor filter .
6 Hose Retainers (4) . Place hose in retainers to store hose on unit. Electrical Cord Hooks (2) . Wrap electrical cord around them to store electrical cord on unit. The upper cord hook rotates f or quick cord release . Nested W and Storage . The crevice w and stores inside the larger wand.

8 Cord Hook Cord Hook Store Electrical Cor d Store Hose and Accessories Y ou will find your cord retainer on the handle abo ve the upper cord hook. Fir mly push the electrical cord down into the cord retainer . This will place the cord out of the wa y the ne xt time y ou v acuum.
1. To use accessories remove hose from rear of cleaner by lifting up and twisting. 2. Place desired accessory onto end of hose or wand. • Tu rn ridge end to center .

11 Instructions to Clean or Change Dust Cup Filter , Style DCF3 Use GENUINE EUREKA replacement filter , Style DCF3. To c lean the Filter , Dust Cup and Dust Cup Lid: To remov e debris, tap filter against w aste container and/or br ush with dusting br ush accessor y tool.
12 Pre-Motor Filter Check the pre-motor filter each time the dust cup is emptied. Clean or replace as needed. To Clean Pre-Motor Filter 1. Remov e filter centered in the bottom of the dust cup compar tment.
13 Br ush Roll Belt Br ush Roll 2 5. Place ne w belt around motor shaft. 6. Place belt around brush roll pulley . 7. Align left end cap with base. Push end cap securely into place. 8. Pull right side of brush roll to stretch belt. Secure r ight end cap into base.
14 How T o Chang e Light Bulb (Only f or models with a headlight) NO TE: T urn off the power s witch and disconnect the electrical cord bef ore changing light b ulb. Low er handle. Remov e the scre w from lens cov er . Pull lens cov er from cleaner . Pull old light bulb out of soc k et.
Locate low er hose adapter on the back of the cleaner . Remov e low er hose adapter from rear of cleaner b y lifting up and twisting. Check f or b loc kages in the hose and base hose. Fle xing the hose may help loosen an y bloc kage. If no b lockage is f ound, continue to step 8.
