This al- lows t ailored operation of the portable radio to me et the needs of the radio system and the i nd i vidua l users.
• Programmable Multi-T one Channel Guard (CTCSS) - Channel Guard tone frequencie s within the ran ge of 67 Hz to 210.7 Hz, including all of the standard EIA fre quencie s, can be pr ogrammed for enc od ed /decode d op eration. • Programmab le Multi-Code Digital Channel Guard - S imilar capability as with tone Ch annel Guard is pro v ided.

REAR CO VER ASSEMBL Y The Rear Cover Assembl y houses the RF Bo ard in the die-cast al uminum case. The com p lete asse mbly consists of the VHF RF Board, aluminum case, top antenna jack, side (UD C ) antenna jac k and various ha rd ware. The RF Board’ s circuitry includ es the transmitter , re- ceiv er and the frequency synthesizer .

DISASSEMBL Y / REASSEMBL Y In the event internal service is required, disassemble the radio in acco rdance with the follo wing outlined step s. See Figures 6 - 10. Reassemb le the unit by following the ste p s in re verse orde r . O bserve scre w lengths and do not over tighten the screws when reassemb ling th e unit.
