DIRECT VENT: This type is identied by the sufx DV . This appliance draws all of its air for combustion from outside the dwelling, through a specially designed v ent pipe system. This appliance has been tested and approved for installations from 0 feet to 4500 feet (1372 m) above sea level.

Check the pilot head for blockage. Check to ensure the pilot ame is blue with no or v ery small yellow tips.
9 Maintenance and Ser vice C LEANING P LATED S URFACES : It is important to note that ngerprints and other marks can lea ve a permanent stain on plated nishes. T o avoid this, give the face a quick wipe with denatured alcohol on a soft cloth BEFORE lighting the replace.

21 H ORIZONTAL I NSTALLATION : 1. Set the appliance in the desired location. Check to determine if wall studs or roof rafters are in the way when the venting system is attached. If this is the case, you may want to adjust the location of the appliance.

V ENTING INTO A C LASS ‘A’ C HIMNEY : This model is also certied and tested to vent into CL ASS ‘ A ’ wood stov e chimneys. Place the freestanding direct v ent appliance in the desired location. Use a conversion kit from Simpson Duravent (931, 932, or 933), or Security Chimney (SV4CCK1, SV4CCK2, or SV4CCK1).

GAS LINE CONNECTION • This stov e is equipped with a certied exible pipe located on the right side of the unit terminating in a ” male NPT tting.

If they are positioned incorrectly , the ames can be “pinched” and will not burn correctly . The burner come with ve (5) locator pins and two (2) resing areas, which make alignment easier .
