4 P R E P A R A T I O N F O R U S E • The carton contains the radio with iPod ® docking station, 5 different plastic iPod ® adapters to use with older iPod ® models, and an iPod ® support bracket to be mounted in the docking station.

8 O PE R A T I N G I N S T RUC T I O N S Listening To The Radio 1.) Turn the ON/ OFF - VOLUME control clockwise to turn the unit ‘ On ’ . The POWER ‘ On ’ LED indicator will light. 2.) Set the Band/Function selector to the desired band, AM or FM .
9 Listening To Your iPod ® IMPOR TANT: To avoid any unwanted distortion when listening to your iPod ® through the speaker of this system we recommend that you shut off the equalizer in the iPod ® before inserting it in the docking station of this system.
1 0 2.) Mount the iPod ® Support Bracket on the docking station as shown. This bracket provides support and prevents your iPod ® from moving too far backward when you operate the iPod ® controls. CAUTION : You must use this support bracket with all iPod ® models to prevent possible damage to the iPod ® connector.
1 1 4.) Set the HOLD switch on your iPod ® to the ‘ Off ’ position to unlock the iPod ® click-wheel controls. 5.) Place your iPod ® into the adapter in the docking station and make sure that the iPod ® connector is fully inserted into the socket on the bottom of the iPod ® .
1 2 iPod ® Battery Charging System The battery in your iPod ® will be automatically charged during iPod ® playback. It will also be charged when resting in the docking station while the power is ‘ Off ’.
1 3 Auxiliary Input Jack ( AUX IN ) This unit includes a 3.5mm Auxiliary Input Jack on the back panel. This allows you to connect external auxiliary music sources such as an iPod ® Shuffle, other MP3 players, or personal CD players, and listen to those devices through the speaker of this unit.
1 4 Headphone (PHONES) Jack This unit includes a 3.5mm PHONES (headphone) jack on the back panel. This allows you to connect a set of stereo headphones (not included) for private listening without disturbing others. When headphones are connected the built-in speaker is automatically disconnected.
