Port logging save s serial data to the memory of the Digi Passport unit, a compact-flash ca rd, a syslog server , or an NFS server .

Chapter 5 Configure Ports 60 This chapter shows how to configure serial ports, bo th physical serial port s and remote ports, which are any type of ports that can be accessed using T elnet, SSH, or Raw TCP protocol, including support for the ALOM, ILOM, iLO, IPMI, DRAC, and SMASH protocols.

In this mode, the Digi Passport unit assumes the serial port is connected to an exte rnal modem and is waiti ng for a dial-i n connection from a remote site .

Listening TCP Port The listening TCP port is the TCP network port s pecified when connecting directly to the port using T elnet or SSH.

There are three protocol options: RawTCP , SSH, and T elnet. • Select SSH when logging in from an SSH c lient program to access a port.
